Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) before using Kitchen. See also our Privacy Policy.

Agreement

These Terms are between you and PAL CAPITAL, LLC (“Kitchen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing https://lovethelaus.com/kitchen or related apps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Kitchen is a family recipe box: save recipes, cook from your phone or tablet, share cookbooks, and collaborate with people you invite. The Service is available as a website and home-screen web app; a native App Store app may be offered separately under the same Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using Kitchen, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Accounts and sign-in

You may sign in with email and password, magic link, or (when available) Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.

Your content

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you upload (“User Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, display, back up, and process User Content solely to operate the Service (including imports, collaboration, and export).

You also grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, which continues after you delete your account, to keep, copy, and use User Content that we retain as described in the Privacy Policy, separated from your account, to improve and develop the Service, including training product features. We will not publish retained User Content under your name. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or California, this license covers only basic recipe text as described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to upload User Content and that it does not violate others’ rights or applicable law.

Sharing and collaboration

You may invite others to cookbooks or grant per-recipe access: view, comment, or edit. You control those permissions. Editors may change recipe content; we maintain version history for accountability. You are responsible for whom you invite.

Free and paid features

Free accounts

  • Unlimited recipes you create
  • Export your own recipes (JSON or CSV)
  • 3 Instagram/TikTok link imports (lifetime)
  • Online cook mode
  • Collaboration and version history on shared recipes

Subscription (“Kitchen Plus” or similar)

Paid features may include:

  • Export of shared recipes others have granted you access to
  • 5–10 social imports per month (subject to fair use and API costs)
  • Offline cook mode (recipes cached on your device)
  • Additional features as described at purchase

Pricing, billing period, and exact limits will be shown at checkout. Subscriptions purchased through Apple are governed by Apple’s terms; manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Refunds follow Apple App Store or our payment processor policies, as applicable.

We may change plans, limits, or pricing with notice where required by law.

Imports from social media

When you paste an Instagram or TikTok link, Kitchen reads publicly available caption text to draft a recipe. Video analysis may be added later. We do not re-host full videos. You must confirm drafts before saving. Import limits apply by plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Upload content you do not have rights to
  • Attempt to access others’ private data without permission
  • Abuse import, export, or API limits
  • Reverse engineer or disrupt the Service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Termination

You may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use Kitchen ends; export your recipes before deleting if you want a copy. Some User Content may be kept after deletion as described in Your content and the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Recipe content is user-generated. We do not guarantee nutritional accuracy, food safety, or import correctness. Always verify ingredients and steps before cooking.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] AND ITS SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [State], unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised date at the top. Material changes may be notified by email or in-app notice where required.
